Calendar Artwork: The Perfect Size for the Perfect Price!

I just leased a new small, charming apartment. Naturally, I set out to decorate my new, small charming apartment. I went to my local art retail store and as I was mid-isle looking at the hundreds of seemingly standard-sized 24'' x 32'' prints, I realized that neither my walls nor my bank account could handle these prints. I needed artwork that was just like my apartment: small & charming.

I had an idea. I immediately left the store, drove home, and went online. Instead of paying for a smaller print, why not buy a clearanced calendar! I searched online for my favorite artist's 2006 calendar, purchased it, and simply framed the images. The images I have framed are the same images I would have paid nearly triple for in the store. Calendar artwork turned out to be the perfect size for the perfect price!

Art Frequently Asked Questions: What is the difference between a print and a poster?

Most reproduced images are considered prints. The "prints" category can be broken down into Limited Edition prints and Open Edition prints. A print is considered a limited edition print when the artist releases only a limited quantity of the print. An Open Edition print, however, is not numbered and is not limited. It is open, meaning that the publisher can print as many of these prints as demanded.

I would include Posters in the Open Edition prints category. The word Poster in and of itself has nothing to do with the quality of the image or paper it is printed on.

Willow Tree Figurines for Valentine's Day

With just a month to go until Valentine's Day, this Angel of the Heart figurine from Willow Tree seems like a perfect gift to symbolize your love for someone. Coming with a description that says, "For those who love and are loved" this eight inch high statue is ideal to show your feelings. The carefully carved figurine is of an angel holding a small red heart up to her own. Whether you already have a Willow Tree collection started, or if you're new to the product, this Angel of the Heart would be a great piece of art to pick up. Willow Tree figurines are timeless and beautiful gifts.

G Harvey's Best Art to Date

"Inauguration Eve" is easily my favorite piece of G Harvey art. The American flag and the Capitol building in the background lend patriotism to the image, while the busy street shows the anticipation of the day to come. This painting is a must have- particularly the limited edition artist's proof canvas giclee. Imagine that piece in a beautiful frame, hanging on your wall!

Gorgeous New Bev Doolittle Fine Art Print

I have to say, I am very excited about this great new release from Bev Doolittle. In particular, I like the "Shoshone Crossing" piece. It harkens back to Bev's well-known camouflaged image style. At first glance, the art seems to be a group of American Indians crossing a river, but upon closer examination, a second picture can be found. "Shoshone Crossing" comes along with "Always Greener," "Slipped Knot," and "With Forces of Nature" in a signed and numbered limited edition stone lithograph set. This set would be the crown jewel of any Doolittle collection.

Love Print

Looking for something sweet on the topic of love? Doug Hyde's art is a welcome departure from the cliche romance artist's work. Giving You My Heart is a unique piece done in pastel. I'd have to say that art like this would melt any girl's heart. You can't go wrong with this print, boys.
